Course Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) combines biological sciences with modern technology to explore how living organisms can be used to develop innovative products and solutions. Students study molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics while gaining extensive laboratory experience using contemporary research techniques.
The programme emphasizes innovation in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, environmental sustainability, and industrial biotechnology through practical projects and scientific research. Students develop technical expertise alongside critical analytical and communication skills required in multidisciplinary scientific environments. Entry Requirements
- Completion of 10 + 2 with strong grades in Biology and Chemistry (minimum 75% aggregate).
- IELTS 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each band), TOEFL iBT 88, PTE 61, or Duolingo 110.
- Science stream subject evaluation and background check in biological sciences.
- High school transcripts, reference letter from science instructor, and personal statement.
- Applicants must satisfy programme-specific academic eligibility, and for postgraduate programmes hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree (minimum Second Class Honours Grade 1 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Some programmes may also require relevant work experience, an interview, or a portfolio where specified.
