The BSc Midwifery prepares students to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based maternity care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. The programme combines biomedical sciences, maternal health, neonatal care, obstetrics, reproductive health, and professional practice with extensive supervised clinical placements.
Students develop the clinical competence and communication skills required to support women, newborns, and families across a variety of healthcare settings. Emphasis is placed on woman-centred care, health promotion, ethical practice, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Graduates are equipped to pursue professional careers as registered midwives in hospitals, maternity services, and community healthcare.
