BSc Occupational Therapy – TCD
Course Overview
The BSc Occupational Therapy prepares students to support individuals in achieving independence and improving quality of life through meaningful activities. Students study occupational science, anatomy, physiology, psychology, rehabilitation, healthcare practice, assistive technologies, and therapeutic interventions through academic learning and clinical placements.
The programme develops assessment, communication, and patient-centred care skills required in occupational therapy practice. Students gain practical experience supporting individuals across different healthcare and community settings. Graduates are prepared for careers in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, community healthcare, disability services, and occupational therapy practice.
Entry Requirements
- Completion of 10 + 2 (Higher Secondary Certificate) with a minimum aggregate of 85% including Laboratory Science.
- IELTS 7.0 (with no band lower than 6.5), TOEFL iBT 100, PTE 65, or Duolingo 130.
- Occupational therapy motivation interview, health screening, and Garda/police clearance.
- Certified 10 + 2 mark sheets, official transcripts, statement of purpose, and academic recommendation letters.
- Valid passport copy, visa eligibility verification, and academic credential assessment.
