Course Overview

The BSc Midwifery at Coventry University prepares students to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based maternity care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. The curriculum includes maternal and newborn health, antenatal care, labour and birth management, neonatal assessment, pharmacology, public health, and professional practice.

Extensive supervised placements enable students to develop clinical competence while supporting women and families across diverse healthcare settings. Graduates are eligible to apply for Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration and pursue careers as registered midwives within NHS and community maternity services.
