Course Overview
The BSc (Hons) Midwifery at Anglia Ruskin University prepares students to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based maternity care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. Students study maternal health, fetal development, neonatal care, reproductive health, pharmacology, safeguarding, public health, and professional practice.
Extensive clinical placements allow students to develop practical midwifery skills within NHS maternity services. Graduates are eligible for Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration and careers as registered midwives in hospitals and community maternity services.
Entry Requirements
- Successful completion of 10+2 secondary school certificate (CBSE, ISC, or State Boards) with 70%+ average
- Mandatory core science subject prerequisites (Biology/Human Biology)
- English language proficiency meeting healthcare council standards (IELTS 7.0 overall equivalent)
- Submission of UCAS application, personal statement, and professional healthcare references
- Satisfactory completion of health clearance, background checks, and selection interview
