Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy at Leeds Beckett University prepares students to assess and manage communication, language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders across all age groups. Students study linguistics, phonetics, developmental psychology, anatomy, neuroscience, clinical assessment, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice.

Clinical placements develop practical skills while working with children and adults in healthcare and educational settings. The programme prepares graduates for professional registration and careers in hospitals, schools, community healthcare, rehabilitation services, and specialist communication clinics.
