Course Overview
Durham College’s Honours Bachelor of Construction Management provides degree-level education in construction technology, building information modeling (BIM), contract administration, and project scheduling. Students master construction estimation, structural analysis, site safety, cost control, and sustainable building codes.
The program includes a mandatory paid work-integrated learning term, connecting students with leading Canadian construction enterprises. Applied studio projects simulate real-world construction site workflows and multi-disciplinary team coordination. Graduates step into leadership roles managing residential, commercial, and industrial civil construction projects.
Entry Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with 6 Grade 12 U/M courses and a minimum 65-70% average
- Grade 12 Academic English (ENG4U, minimum 60%)
- Grade 12 Math (MHF4U, MCV4U, or MDM4U, minimum 60%)
- Four additional Grade 12 U/M academic electives
- Proof of English Language Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 88
