About Mari State University
The Institute of Medicine at Mari State University operates as the primary medical education center for the Republic of Mari El, embedded within a recognized classical public university founded in 1972. Located in Yoshkar-Ola, the institute combines traditional clinical training with modern digital simulation technologies, featuring specialized anatomy rooms, virtual dissection tables, and clinical skill suites.
Bedside training is conducted in coordination with the Republican Clinical Hospital, municipal diagnostic clinics, and pediatric medical centers across Yoshkar-Ola. MarSU awards six-year Specialist Diplomas in General Medicine and is fully recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, WHO, WDOMS, ECFMG, and NMC (India).
