Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) is a pioneering public state health academy, established in 2011 by an Act of the Parliament of Nepal. Situated in Jumla, Karnali Province, KAHS is the premier government initiative dedicated to delivering quality healthcare education, research, and tertiary services to the remote, backward regions of Western Nepal.
The academy operates the 300-bed KAHS Teaching Hospital, providing crucial clinical training for its MBBS, B.Sc. Nursing, Public Health, and MD programs in general practice. KAHS is a statutory body recognized by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), Medical Education Commission (MEC), WHO, and WDOMS.
