About Patan Academy of Health Sciences
Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) is an innovative public autonomous state health university, established in 2008 by an Act of the Parliament of Nepal. Situated in Patan, Lalitpur (Kathmandu Valley), PAHS was founded with a dedicated mission to address Nepal’s rural-urban health disparities by training community-oriented, compassionate medical professionals.
The academy’s primary clinical site is the historic Patan Hospital, a 450+ bed tertiary care center established in 1982. PAHS incorporates problem-based learning (PBL) across its MBBS, nursing, and postgraduate programs and holds full accreditation and recognition from the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), WHO, WDOMS, ECFMG, and NMC India.

Eligibility Criteria
- Affiliation:Autonomous Institute• Academic Requirement: 10+2 / Higher Secondary with ≥50% aggregate in PCB (or CGPA ≥2.4)
- Core Subjects:Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English
- Age Limit:Minimum 17 years by Dec 31 of admission year
- Qualifying Exam:MECEE-BL (50th percentile) or qualified NEET-UG score
