About San Beda University College of Medicine

San Beda University College of Medicine, located in Manila, is one of the Philippines’ newest private medical schools established under the long-standing Benedictine educational tradition. The college aims to produce physicians who combine academic excellence, ethical leadership, compassionate patient care, and social responsibility.

Its Doctor of Medicine curriculum follows an outcomes-based educational framework integrating biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, evidence-based practice, medical ethics, healthcare management, research, and community medicine. Students receive clinical training through accredited teaching hospitals and partner medical centers where they gain practical experience across major medical specialties. The institution utilizes modern simulation laboratories, anatomy facilities, digital learning technologies, and small-group teaching methodologies to enhance clinical competence. Community outreach, public health initiatives, and service-learning remain integral parts of student education. Guided by Benedictine values of discipline, integrity, and service, San Beda University prepares graduates to become competent physicians, healthcare leaders, researchers, and advocates for quality healthcare both nationally and globally.
