About Sanford School of Medicine of the University of South Dakota
Sanford School of Medicine is the University of South Dakota’s medical school and the state’s only fully accredited four-year medical education program. The curriculum integrates foundational sciences with clinical training, biomedical research, and rural healthcare experiences.
Students gain practical experience through Sanford Health, Monument Health, and other regional healthcare partners while preparing to address physician workforce needs throughout South Dakota and the Upper Midwest.

Eligibility Criteria
- Academics: 10+2 / High School Diploma with PCB securing minimum 55% aggregate.
- NEET Qualification: Mandatory qualified NEET-UG scorecard for Indian applicants.
- Age Limit: Minimum 17 years of age by December 31 of admission year.
- Language & Testing: Bilingual English & Spanish proficiency required + IELTS ≥ 6.5 / TOEFL iBT ≥ 80.
- Health & Documentation: Physical health fitness clearance and HIV-negative report.
