About Shihezi University School of Medicine (Pioneering institution for English-medium MBBS in Northwest China)

Shihezi University School of Medicine, administered by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) and supported by the Ministry of Education, is one of Northwest China’s leading medical schools and among the early institutions approved to offer the English-medium MBBS program. The School operates affiliated Grade A tertiary teaching hospitals, enabling students to gain comprehensive clinical experience across internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and emergency medicine.

It is particularly known for clinical medicine, public health, epidemiology, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, oncology, ethnic medicine, and precision medicine, supported by key regional laboratories and research centers.   • Academic Criteria:Completion of 10+2 with minimum 60% to 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • NEET Standard:Valid NEET-UG score as per NMC criteria.
  • Age Range:Aged 17 to 25 years old.
  • Language Proficiency:English proficiency; obligation to complete Chinese language training before clinical rotations.
  • Fitness:Physical and mental health clearance for medical study.
