The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine is the state’s only academic medical center and the largest institution dedicated to health sciences education, biomedical research, and specialized patient care in Arkansas. Established in 1879, the college offers an integrated curriculum that combines foundational medical sciences with early clinical exposure, simulation-based education, and interdisciplinary learning.

Students complete clinical training through UAMS Health, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, and a statewide network of affiliated hospitals. Eligibility Criteria
