About University of Saint La Salle College of Medicine

The University of Saint La Salle (USLS) College of Medicine, located in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, was established to help address the physician shortage in Western Visayas while extending the university’s long-standing tradition of Lasallian education. The college combines academic excellence with values formation, social responsibility, and patient-centered healthcare through an outcomes-based Doctor of Medicine curriculum.

Students study biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, surgery, preventive healthcare, ethics, public health, and medical research while gaining practical clinical experience through affiliated hospitals and regional healthcare institutions. Community immersion programs expose students to healthcare delivery in underserved municipalities and rural communities, reinforcing the university’s commitment to social accountability. Modern teaching facilities, simulation laboratories, digital learning resources, and experienced clinician-educators provide a supportive learning environment. The college also promotes research addressing regional health issues and encourages graduates to contribute to healthcare improvement throughout Negros Occidental and neighboring provinces.
