Course Overview

Ontario Tech University’s Honours Bachelor of Health Science in Public Health focuses on disease prevention, health promotion, epidemiology, environmental health, and public health policy. Students examine biological, social, and environmental determinants of population health through quantitative data analysis and community health projects.

The curriculum prepares students to address health inequities, infectious disease outbreaks, and chronic illness at local and global levels. Experiential learning opportunities include community health placements and public health policy research. Graduates work in public health units and health agencies.

Entry Requirements

  • OSSD with 6 Grade 12 U/M courses
  • Grade 12 Academic English (ENG4U, minimum 65%)
  • Grade 12 Biology (SBI4U) or Chemistry (SCH4U) (min 65%)
  • Two additional Grade 12 U/M academic courses
  • IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 83
