Course Overview
The Honours Bachelor of Computer Science at Conestoga College delivers comprehensive training in software engineering, object-oriented programming, data structures, cloud computing, and computer security. The program features mandatory paid co-op work terms where students apply coding and software architecture skills in real corporate development environments.
Students gain hands-on experience using modern languages (Java, C++, Python), database management tools, and mobile application frameworks. Applied capstone design projects simulate full software development life cycle (SDLC) workflows. Graduates are prepared for technical software development and computing engineering positions.
Entry Requirements
- OSSD or equivalent with a minimum 65% overall average across 6 Grade 12 U/M courses
- Grade 12 Academic English (ENG4U, minimum 65%)
- Grade 12 Advanced Functions or Calculus & Vectors (minimum 65%)
- Four additional Grade 12 U or M level academic subjects
- Proof of English Language Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 88
