Course Overview

Lakehead University’s Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering delivers structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transportation engineering training. Students analyze material strength, fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, and structural design principles in advanced engineering testing labs.

The curriculum integrates computer-aided design (CAD), geographic information systems (GIS), and project management methodologies. Field surveying exercises and hands-on structural testing projects prepare students to design sustainable public and private infrastructure. Entry Requirements

  • OSSD with a minimum 70% overall average
  • Grade 12 Academic English (ENG4U)
  • Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U) and Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U)
  • Grade 12 Chemistry (SCH4U) and Grade 12 Physics (SPH4U)
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 80
