Course Overview
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Mechanical) (Level 7) at Manukau Institute of Technology equips students with practical engineering knowledge in machine design, manufacturing processes, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials engineering, automation, and maintenance engineering. Entry Requirements
- University Entrance – NCEA Level 3 including three subjects (Physics with 14+ credits, Calculus with 14+ credits, and one approved subject)
- Literacy: 10 credits at Level 2 or above (5 in reading, 5 in writing)
- Numeracy: 10 credits at Level 1 or above (specified achievement standards)
- English language competency via IELTS Academic 6.0 overall (writing/speaking min 6.0, reading/listening min 5.5) or equivalent
- Physical capability to complete practical program aspects safely and efficiently
