Conestoga’s Honours Bachelor of Environmental Public Health provides specialized scientific training in health risk assessment, food safety inspection, water quality testing, epidemiology, and environmental law. Accredited by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI), the program includes a paid co-op work term within public health units or environmental regulatory bodies.
Students conduct laboratory microbiological testing, environmental site investigations, and disease outbreak tracing. The curriculum prepares graduates to protect public health and safety through regulatory enforcement and health education. Graduates satisfy requirements to pursue CIPHI professional certification as Certified Public Health Inspectors.
