Course Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Nursing Science) prepares students to become compassionate and competent healthcare professionals through a combination of academic study and supervised clinical practice. The programme covers anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, patient care, evidence-based nursing, health assessment, and professional ethics while building essential clinical skills.
Students gain practical experience across a variety of healthcare settings, enabling them to provide safe and person-centred care. Strong emphasis is placed on communication, teamwork, leadership, and lifelong professional development. Graduates are eligible to pursue nursing careers in hospitals, community healthcare, specialist services, and international healthcare environments.
Entry Requirements
- Completion of 10 + 2 with strong grades in Science (Biology/Chemistry) at minimum 70% to 75% aggregate.
- IELTS 7.0 (with no band less than 6.5), TOEFL iBT 95, or PTE 65.
- Mandatory occupational health screening, Garda Vetting (police clearance), and clinical entry interview.
- High school transcripts, personal statement, medical fitness report, and two reference letters.
- Applicants must satisfy programme-specific academic eligibility, and for postgraduate programmes hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree (minimum Second Class Honours Grade 1 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Some programmes may also require relevant work experience, an interview, or a portfolio where specified.
