Course Overview
The BSc (Hons) Chemical Sciences with Medicinal Chemistry combines core chemical sciences with the design and development of therapeutic compounds for modern medicine. Students explore organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, molecular modelling, analytical chemistry, and drug discovery through laboratory research and scientific investigation.
The programme develops strong laboratory competence, analytical reasoning, and research skills while examining the relationship between chemical structure and biological activity. Students gain practical experience using modern scientific instrumentation and computational techniques. Entry Requirements
- Completion of 10 + 2 (Higher Secondary Certificate) with a minimum aggregate of 65% including Chemistry and Mathematics.
- IELTS 6.0 (with no band less than 6.0), TOEFL iBT 80, PTE 50, or Duolingo 105.
- Chemical sciences prerequisite check and laboratory competency review.
