Course Overview
The BSc (Hons) in General Nursing prepares students to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across a broad range of healthcare settings. The programme combines studies in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, nursing science, patient assessment, and professional practice with extensive supervised clinical placements.
Students develop clinical competence, communication skills, and critical thinking while providing person-centred care to individuals and communities. Entry Requirements
- Completion of 10 + 2 with a minimum aggregate of 65% including Biology/Chemistry, Mathematics, and English (Subject to NMBI registration approval).
- IELTS 7.0 (with no band less than 6.5 or NMBI equivalent), TOEFL iBT 94, or OET standards.
- Mandatory Garda Vetting (Irish police clearance), medical fitness clearance, and occupational health screening.
- Certified 10 + 2 transcripts, healthcare motivation essay, clinical exposure summary (if any), and LORs.
- Pre-registration assessment by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and formal panel interview.
