The BSc (Hons) in Midwifery prepares students to provide safe, evidence-based maternity care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. Students study maternal health, obstetrics, neonatal care, reproductive health, anatomy, physiology, and professional practice while completing extensive supervised clinical placements.
The programme develops clinical competence, communication skills, and compassionate care that support women, infants, and families throughout the maternity journey. Students gain experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a variety of clinical settings. Graduates are prepared for professional careers as registered midwives in hospitals, maternity units, and community healthcare services.
