Course Overview
The BSc (Hons) Midwifery develops specialist knowledge and clinical skills required to support women, newborns, and families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care.
Students study maternal health, neonatal care, reproductive health, evidence-based practice, and professional midwifery skills through academic learning and clinical placements. Graduates are prepared for careers as registered midwives within hospitals, community healthcare, and maternity services.
Entry Requirements
- Academic Records: High school qualification with competitive grades in Biology or another science subject.
- English Proficiency: IELTS 7.0 overall meeting NMC language requirements or equivalent.
- Subject Requirements: Biology is preferred; Health & Social Care is beneficial.
- Application Materials: Academic transcripts, personal statement, academic reference, passport copy, and UCAS application.
- Additional Requirements: Interview, occupational health assessment, and DBS clearance may be required.
