Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy at De Montfort University prepares students to assess and manage communication, language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders across all age groups. Students study linguistics, anatomy, neuroscience, phonetics, child language development, dysphagia, clinical assessment, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Extensive clinical placements provide practical experience within hospitals, schools, and community healthcare services. Graduates are eligible for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration and careers as speech and language therapists.
