Course Overview

The BSc Paramedic Science at Bangor University prepares students to deliver emergency and urgent medical care in pre-hospital environments. The programme combines anatomy, physiology, trauma management, emergency pharmacology, patient assessment, advanced life support, clinical decision-making, and healthcare ethics with simulation-based learning.

Students undertake ambulance service and hospital placements to develop confidence in managing medical emergencies across diverse patient groups. Graduates are equipped for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and careers within ambulance services, emergency response teams, urgent care, and specialist paramedic practice.
