The Diploma in Practical Nursing at College of the Rockies prepares students to deliver safe, competent, and ethical nursing care in diverse healthcare settings across British Columbia. The program integrates theoretical classroom instruction, lab skills practice, and consolidated clinical practicum experiences in regional acute care, long-term care, and community agencies.
Students develop foundational skills in health assessment, pharmacology, chronic disease management, and patient-centered care. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to write the Regulatory Exam for Practical Nurses (REPN) to register as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with BCCNM.
