Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The curriculum features integrated organ-systems science, scholarly concentration options (SELECT pathway), and clerkships at Tampa General Hospital. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited US institution required.
  • MCAT required (517+ target); TOEFL iBT for non-native speakers.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Biochem, Physics.
  • Admission is limited exclusively to U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, and DACA recipients. International applicants requiring F-1 student visa sponsorship are not accepted into the medical program.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should provide either a Committee Letter or three to five individual academic Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from professors who have taught the applicant and can comprehensively evaluate their academic ability, scientific aptitude, and readiness for medical education.
