Course Overview

The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Program at Rowan-Virtua SOM is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by COCA. The curriculum offers Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Synergistic Guided Learning (SGL) tracks, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), and clinical rotations in New Jersey.

Entry Requirements

  • 90+ semester hours at an accredited US college required.
  • MCAT required (507+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • Bio (8 Credit Hours), Gen Chem (8 Credit Hours), Org Chem (8 Credit Hours), Physics (8 Credit Hours), English (6 Credit Hours).
  • The institution primarily enrolls U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents but does accept applications from international students. Applicants requiring F-1 visa sponsorship should contact the admissions office directly to confirm current eligibility requirements and visa procedures before applying.
  • Applicants applying through AACOMAS (American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service) should submit either a Committee Letter Packet or three individual academic Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from faculty members who can evaluate the applicant’s academic ability, professionalism, and suitability for osteopathic medical education.
