Course Overview
The LLM Law at Bangor University provides advanced legal education that enables students to specialise in contemporary legal issues through taught modules and independent research. The programme covers advanced legal theory, international law, commercial law, human rights, legal research methods, and dispute resolution while strengthening analytical, advocacy, and legal writing skills.
Students complete a substantial research dissertation addressing a specialised legal topic. Graduates are prepared for advanced legal practice, policy development, academia, consultancy, government, and doctoral research.
Entry Requirements
- Recognized undergraduate degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent professional law qualification with strong standing
- Minimum Second Class lower degree classification or equivalent international grade standard
- Advanced English language proficiency meeting postgraduate legal standards (IELTS 6.5 to 7.0 overall)
