Course Overview

The MA Social Work at Coventry University prepares graduates for professional social work practice through an integrated curriculum combining academic learning with extensive practice placements. Students study social work theory, safeguarding, child and adult protection, ethics, social policy, mental health, human development, law, and multidisciplinary practice.

Supervised placements in statutory and voluntary organisations develop professional judgement, communication, and intervention skills. Graduates are prepared to apply for professional registration and pursue careers in child protection, adult social care, mental health, community services, and family support.
