Course Overview
The Master of Biotechnology prepares students to apply advanced biological knowledge and emerging technologies to address challenges in healthcare, agriculture, environmental sustainability, and industrial biotechnology. The curriculum includes molecular biotechnology, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, bioprocessing, and biotechnology commercialisation, supported by extensive laboratory training.
Students develop research, innovation, and problem-solving skills through practical scientific projects and interdisciplinary collaboration. The program also explores regulatory, ethical, and entrepreneurial aspects of biotechnology development. Graduates are equipped for careers in biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, life sciences, agricultural innovation, and scientific consulting.
Entry Requirements
- Academic Records: Recognized Bachelor degree in Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related discipline with a minimum WAM of 65%+.
- English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in sub-scores), TOEFL iBT 79, PTE 64.
- Prerequisites / Knowledge: Completion of university-level biochemistry and molecular genetics prerequisites.
