Course Overview

The Master of Laws provides advanced legal education through specialist study of contemporary legal issues and professional legal practices. Students explore advanced legal concepts, research methods, international regulations, and specialist areas of law.

The programme develops critical analysis, independent research, and advanced legal reasoning skills. Students complete specialised coursework and research projects to deepen their legal expertise. Graduates can pursue careers in legal practice, corporate law, academia, policy, and international organisations.

Entry Requirements

  • Academic Records: Certified copy of a recognized bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a 2:1 Honours equivalent (minimum 60-65%+ or 3.0/4.0 GPA).
  • English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each subtest), TOEFL iBT 90, or PTE 65.
  • Subject Prerequisites: Demonstrated academic foundation in relevant technical, quantitative, or domain-specific modules.
  • Additional Tests/Interviews: None standardly required for regular postgraduate entry.
  • Application Materials: Certified degree transcripts, degree certificate, statement of purpose, CV, and two reference letters.
