Course Overview
The MBBCh programme offers a 5-year integrated curriculum combining biomedical sciences, clinical medicine and research. Students receive early patient contact and extensive clinical placements within NHS Wales.
The programme develops clinical reasoning, professionalism and leadership skills. Graduates are eligible to progress to Foundation Programme training and specialist education.
Entry Requirements
- A Levels: AAA including Biology and Chemistry. Cardiff accepts international qualifications that are officially assessed as equivalent to these A Level requirements. The Medicine admissions office assesses country-specific qualifications individually. (Cardiff University)
- Entrance Exam: University Clinical Aptitude Test ( UCAT )assessment required + Qualified NEET-UG scorecard required for Indian candidates for NMC compliance.
- Language & Interview: IELTS 7.0 overall (min 7.0 in each skill) + Panel / MMI selection interview.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the commencement of clinical training.
- Health & Clearance: Occupational Health assessment, Criminal record check (DBS), and valid passport and transcripts.
