The Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland supports the development of professional artistic practice through intensive studio-based education. Students explore contemporary visual arts including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, digital media, printmaking, and interdisciplinary artistic practice.
The programme encourages creative experimentation, critical reflection, and conceptual development while providing opportunities to exhibit work and engage with professional artists. Graduates develop a professional portfolio and pursue careers as practising artists, curators, educators, gallery professionals, arts administrators, and creative entrepreneurs.
