Course Overview
The Master of Architecture (Professional) at Unitec Institute of Technology is designed to prepare graduates for professional architectural registration through advanced architectural design and practice. The programme integrates design studios, professional practice, construction technology, environmental sustainability, urban design, and regulatory frameworks.
Students complete complex architectural projects that strengthen technical competence, creativity, and professional judgement. Graduates meet the academic requirements for professional architectural pathways and pursue careers in architectural firms, urban design practices, property development, and sustainable built environment projects.
Entry Requirements
- Successful completion of the Bachelor of Architecture (BAS) with a B- (GPA 4.0) average or higher
- Recognized undergraduate degree in architecture (B- average or higher) with a supporting portfolio
- Evidence of English language competency meeting postgraduate institutional requirements
- Completion of compulsory work experience requirements (480 hours over two years)
- Application documentation including academic transcripts and statement of intent
