MSc Applied Cyber Security – TUD
Course Overview
The MSc Applied Cyber Security prepares graduates to protect digital systems, networks, and information assets against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Students study network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, digital forensics, cloud security, cyber risk management, and security governance through laboratory exercises and simulated attack environments.
The programme develops technical expertise in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing secure systems, and responding to cybersecurity incidents. Students strengthen investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills using current cybersecurity technologies. Graduates are prepared for careers in cybersecurity, information security management, penetration testing, digital forensics, and cyber risk consultancy.
Entry Requirements
- Certified copy of a recognized bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (minimum 55% or a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale).
- IELTS 6.5 (with no band lower than 6.0), TOEFL iBT 89, PTE 58, or Duolingo 120.
- Technical background review and network fundamentals check.
- Official university degree transcripts, updated CV/resume, two letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose.
- Valid passport copy, visa eligibility verification, and academic credential assessment.
