Course Overview
The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is a graduate-entry law programme designed to provide a thorough understanding of legal principles, institutions, and professional legal practice. Students study constitutional law, contract law, tort law, company law, European Union law, and legal ethics while developing advanced legal research, advocacy, and analytical skills.
The curriculum combines academic study with practical legal training through case analysis, legal writing, and problem-solving exercises. Students learn to interpret legislation, evaluate judicial decisions, and address complex legal issues with confidence. Graduates are well equipped for careers in legal practice, corporate law, public service, academia, or further professional legal qualification.
Entry Requirements
- Completion of 10 + 2 with a minimum 75% to 80% aggregate score (or prior bachelor’s degree for graduate entry LLB).
- IELTS 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each band), TOEFL iBT 88, PTE 61, or Duolingo 110.
- Legal aptitude assessment or academic record review by the School of Law.
- Secondary school/university transcripts, statement of purpose, and academic references.
- Applicants must satisfy programme-specific academic eligibility, and for postgraduate programmes hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree (minimum Second Class Honours Grade 1 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Some programmes may also require relevant work experience, an interview, or a portfolio where specified.
