LLM General – UCD
Course Overview
The LLM General provides advanced legal education across a broad range of contemporary legal disciplines and allows students to develop specialist legal knowledge based on their interests. Students study advanced legal theory, research methods, international legal developments, commercial law, human rights, and contemporary legal issues through research-based learning.
The programme develops critical legal analysis, independent research skills, and professional judgement. Students gain expertise in evaluating complex legal problems and developing informed legal arguments. Graduates are prepared for careers in legal practice, academia, policy development, government, and international organizations.
Entry Requirements
- Certified copy of a recognized bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering (minimum 60% or 3.0 GPA).
- IELTS 6.5 (with no band lower than 6.0), TOEFL iBT 90, PTE 63, or Duolingo 120.
- Advanced calculus and probability background evaluation.
- Official university degree transcripts, updated CV/resume, two letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose.
- Valid passport copy, visa eligibility verification, and academic credential assessment.
